Meet Our Team

Thomas Knapp

Thomas Knapp is a highly experienced manager and head trainer with a passion for helping people live their best lives through proper strength training. From 1994-1996, he worked at Wellness One in Dallas, Texas before moving on to become the Manager and Head Trainer at Sparta Fitness Center in St. Petersburg, Florida from 1997-2001.

In 2005, Thomas earned his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sport Science from the University of Florida. He continued his education by focusing on Physicians’ Assistant Studies at Nova Southeastern from 2009-2010.

Driven by the belief that proper strength training is critical to improving quality of life, Thomas founded Myoblast Strength in 2011. As the owner and lead trainer, he focuses on developing personalized training programs and providing individualized coaching to help clients reach their peak physical performance. With his decades of experience, Thomas is committed to helping individuals achieve their fitness goals and live their healthiest lives.

John Wassmer

Meet John, an ACE certified personal trainer. He began his fitness and personal training career 6 years ago after a long career with Nestle Waters. He began with group fitness training and shortly after that began training at Myoblast Strength with Thomas. He was hooked after the first workout and quickly realized this is the type of fitness routine he needed. 

Through training regularly with Thomas, he started to learn the benefits of strength training and the effects it can have on your body both physically and mentally. 2 years ago he started to shadow at Myoblast Strength and learn as much information as he could about the incredibly effective workouts we provide. He has been training clients for about a year and half now. 

John’s goal as a personal trainer is to provide the best client based workout and give knowledge about proper, safe strength training and the benefits it can provide. He wants every client to feel confident, encouraged and accomplished after every workout and know that every workout is one step towards a long healthy lifestyle.

He attended the University of Florida for Food Science and Human Nutrition and has been a certified personal trainer with the International Sports Sciences Association since 2016. 

His journey in the fitness industry began with a deep-seated interest in physical fitness and a desire to help others achieve their health goals. Over the years, He has honed his skills and knowledge through extensive research, continuous education, and practical experience.

He takes pride in helping his clients overcome obstacles and achieve success. Whether it’s through encouragement, accountability, or targeted feedback, he is committed to supporting his clients on their journey to optimal health and wellness here at Myoblast Strength.

Kristina

Born and raised with an unwavering passion for sports and fitness, Kristina’s journey includes diverse athletic endeavors. During her formative years, Kristina discovered her love for gymnastics. Embracing her passion, she joined club gymnastics in her off-season and quickly rose through the ranks of her school’s gymnastics team, competing at the state level for six consecutive years. Throughout her collegiate days, Kristina pivoted and excelled in collegiate cheer, becoming a key member of her team.

Fast-forward, Kristina’s desire for new challenges and avenues of self-improvement continued. Eager to push her physical boundaries even further, she delved into the world of competitive bodybuilding at the age of 30. Kristina has since competed in over nine competitions, including two at the national level.

As a dedicated life-long learner, she’s committed to becoming an ACE certified personal trainer. Kristina enjoys mentoring aspiring athletes, advocating for health and fitness awareness, and engaging in philanthropic activities. As a personal trainer, Kristina is intuitive. Her hope is to inspire others to discover their own strengths and passions, just as sports and fitness have done for her.
